Learning Through Rebeling
This blog is meant to be a resource to those seeking to expand their educational experiences in unconventional ways. While one of its purposes is certainly to assist parents and teachers in the often daunting task of tailoring learning to the needs and interests of individual children and students, I feel that it will have somehow failed if it doesn’t also appeal in meaningful and direct ways to the learners themselves, be they in or out of school. Metacognition is the goal here, as is, of course, autonomous learning, which doesn’t always have to take on the form of rebelling, or rebeling (you know me—I’m so rebellious that I even spell rebelling wrong), for that matter. In fact, I believe that autonomous learning can be enhanced through communal interaction, and therefore, as is the case with all blogs, comments are welcome.
